Rottweilers are a robust, regal and powerful breed of dog and if you’ve got a Rottweiler, then you’ve definitely got a dog that you can be proud of. In order to make your pet look his best, you need to make sure you are grooming him the right way.
Take a look at a Rottweiler and you can see what a noble looking dog they are - mostly black or dark brown all over with distinctive tan markings. Rottweilers are big and brawny and you can expect to be drawing a lot of attention with your pet anywhere you go.
Brushing your Rottweiler
While your Rottweiler does need to be brushed, be careful not to overdo it. Brush them too much and their hair will fall out. You would however need to brush him regularly during those times of the year when they shed so you can make sure they are not making too much of a mess.
Teeth and nail grooming in your Rottweiler
Your Rottweiler’s teeth and nail should always be well-groomed. If a Rottweiler stays outside and stays active, their nails will stay short. If they are inside more, then you will need to clip them to keep them healthy. Just like you, the Rottweiler needs to have their teeth brushed and checked by a doctor on occasion. A vet will be able to show you how to hold the toothbrush at a forty-five degree angle and how to get the both the upper and lower teeth as clean as possible.
It is important to start you start brushing your pet’s teeth and trimming his nails when the dog is young, so he will be used to it and not give you any trouble when he is a full grown adult.
By paying this extra special attention to your dog, your dog will not only look good but will feel good too.
